chair suspension
Two chairs are brought onto center stage and unfolded, then positioned face to face. A flat wooden stretcher is rested on their backs w/ a blanket draped over it. An audience member is invited to lay on the stretcher. The assistant is covered with the blanket and the chair under her legs is slowly slid out from under her, leaving her suspended atop the stretcher and balancing on the back of one chair. The stretcher is slid out from under her, leaving her perfectly rigid, balancing on the back of the chair. The dimensional shipping weight is approximately 68 pounds and the shipping box is approximately 48 x 20 x 11 inches.
